Left winger Isaac García signs for his third spell at Club Balonmano Los Dólmenes Antequera, coming from Trops Málaga. The youth player strengthens the project in Division de Honor Plata.
The Club Balonmano Los Dólmenes Antequera has announced the return of Isaac García, a left winger trained in the club's youth system, who signs for his third spell with the Málaga team. The 27-year-old player arrives from Trops Málaga and becomes a key reinforcement for the upcoming season in Division de Honor Plata.
An anticipated return
Isaac García knows the club well. A product of the Antequera youth system, he played four seasons with the first team before moving to Villa de Aranda, where he achieved promotion to Liga Asobal. After his time in Burgos, he returned to Dólmenes to compete for a season in Division de Honor Plata, although relegation to Primera Nacional dashed expectations.
His last adventure at Trops Málaga did not go as he had hoped. Therefore, when the door to his home opened, he did not hesitate to say 'yes'. “I return home with more maturity and a desire to help the team,” the player stated in comments to the club. The winger is excited about the project and is confident in achieving survival with ease.
Commitment to the youth system
In addition to Isaac García's return, Dólmenes Antequera has promoted Enrique Pérez to the first team. The young attacker, who has been with the club since his beginnings, officially joins the senior squad after completing his training period. During the past season, he was already balancing youth and first team duties, gaining his first minutes in Primera División Nacional.
“Enrique is an example of the grassroots work we have been doing. He is ready to make the jump to Division de Honor Plata,” explained the sports management. The club thus reinforces its commitment to homegrown players, a hallmark that has characterised Dólmenes in recent years.
Objective: survival
Dólmenes Antequera faces the season with the clear objective of consolidating itself in Division de Honor Plata. With the addition of Isaac García and the promotion of Enrique Pérez, the team gains experience and youth. The coach, who has positively evaluated the signings, trusts that the squad will compete at the highest level.
The club has scheduled the start of pre-season for mid-August, with several friendly matches to get the machinery running smoothly. Fans will be able to see the new Dólmenes at the Fernando Argüelles pavilion, where the team will seek to make the most of their home advantage.
The first league match is expected to take place in mid-September. The schedule will be known in the coming weeks, and the club hopes to have the support of the fans to tackle the more challenging matches. Season tickets are already on sale, with affordable prices to encourage attendance.
