Journalist Santi Acosta has praised his colleague Bea Archidona just days before the premiere of '¡De lunes a viernes!' on Telecinco. The new format starts on July 6 and promises to be "fun and a bit cheeky".
Santi Acosta could not have been clearer when discussing his professional relationship with Bea Archidona. "She is the best colleague one could have," stated the journalist, who from next Monday, July 6, will share the afternoons of Telecinco with her on the new programme '¡De lunes a viernes!'.
"The more I work, the more I love her. It’s a pleasure to work with her," Acosta added, who already teams up with Archidona on weekends in '¡De viernes!'. "I couldn’t feel more comfortable working with someone," he concluded.
A format for summer
The new programme, which will air over the next two months, aims to be a "companion" for viewers during the summer afternoons. Acosta has described it as "fun and a bit cheeky," with heartfelt content as its main focus.
"The basic tools of television remain the same; the heart genre is just as alive as ever," explained the presenter, who hopes that the audience will want them "in their homes in the afternoons".
The journalist confessed that he missed a show where he could have fun. "I missed a show where I could enjoy myself," he reiterated, making it clear that this project has restored his enthusiasm.
Expectations for the premiere
Acosta detailed that the main goal is for "people to be entertained, to have fun, to enjoy themselves" by the end of summer. The format, which replaces the previous offering from the channel, arrives with the intention of winning over a loyal audience to the heart genre.
For the residents of Málaga city and province, where both presenters have a large following, the programme will be a daily entertainment option. However, we will have to wait until Monday, July 6 at 4:00 PM to see if the chemistry they display on screen translates into viewership.
