The National Police Unit assigned to the Autonomous Community of Andalucía has carried out a significant intervention in Málaga, where 156 tickets intended for resale during the 2026 Bullfighting Fair were seized.
Operation Against Reselling
This operation took place between August 15 and 22, in collaboration with the Local Police of Málaga and the Provincial Police Headquarters. The main objective was to prevent and combat the unauthorised resale of tickets, a practice that can harm consumers.
During the operation, plainclothes patrols were deployed near the La Malagueta bullring, as well as among the attending public. This allowed officers to detect individuals involved in the unofficial sale of tickets.
Consequences of Reselling
As a result of the actions of the UPA, a total of 22 reports were formalised and a considerable number of tickets from various locations and areas of the venue were seized. Ticket reselling can lead to serious issues for fans, such as exorbitant price increases, the potential purchase of fake or duplicated tickets, and a lack of transparency in the prices paid.
For this reason, the National Police Unit assigned to the Autonomous Community of Andalucía reminds the importance of purchasing tickets exclusively through the official channels provided by the event organisers, which guarantees greater protection against fraud and ensures access to the show.
