The new edition of the TVE talent show, celebrating its tenth anniversary, premieres this Monday with a challenge recorded in the gardens of the old Tabacalera in Málaga.
MasterChef Celebrity returns to La 1 this Monday with a special edition celebrating its ten years of history. The show, titled MasterChef Celebrity Legends, brings together fifteen contestants from previous editions who did not achieve victory and are now returning to the kitchen to try again. The first outdoor challenge was recorded in May in the gardens of the old Tabacalera in Málaga, according to Diario Sur.
The premiere will feature Antonio Banderas as a guest, who previously participated in the 2023 edition. The actor hosted a challenge in which the contestants cooked a menu created by local chefs Cristina Cánovas and Diego Aguilar, who run the Michelin-starred restaurant Palodú located in the Historic Centre of the capital. The challenge involved satisfying a hundred diners invited by Banderas himself.
The contestants vying for victory in this edition come from very different backgrounds: bullfighter Manuel Díaz 'El Cordobés', comedian Edu Soto, model Juan Betancourt, actress and singer Bibiana Fernández, actress Anabel Alonso, actors Santiago Segura, Paz Vega and Juanjo Ballesta, comedian Florentino Fernández (Flo), singers David Bustamante and Ruth Lorenzo, Pocholo Martínez-Bordiú, TikToker Marina Rivers, rapper Mala Rodríguez and designer María Escoté.
The jury will consist, as in recent seasons, of Pepe Rodríguez, Jordi Cruz and Marta Sanahuja, to which actress Loles León will join this Monday. Throughout the episodes, new challenges will be revealed, although the charitable purpose remains: the winner will receive 75,000 euros to donate to an NGO, in addition to the champion's trophy, and each week the winner can allocate 4,000 euros to the association of their choice. The chefs from Palodú commented on social media that they experienced the challenge with "nerves", although they took away an "incredible memory" from the recording.
